Ministerial Committee Advocates PPP To Revive Training Centers In FCT

The FCT Ministerial Advisory Committee on the Status of Social Development Service has called for Public Private Partnership of some training centers in the FCT for optimal Human Capital Development.

The Acting Chairperson Of the Committee, Mrs Asabe Umar, made the call in a statement signed by an Assistant Director Information, FCTA, Mrs Josie Mudasiru in Abuja.

The statement which also calls for certification of the facilities, says it will increase public participation in social development schemes, build capacity, increase productivity and encourage many youths to attend trainings.

Mrs Umar who said that government had done its part by providing the infrastructure and equipment stressed the need for the private sector to step in to support in providing more equipment, trainings and management “

The committee which has visited four Area Councils , discovered a moribund Rice Mill, idle multipurpose centers as well as underutilized Agro Allied Women Centres in Kuje and Gwagwalada Area Councils .
