The minister of Women Affairs Dame Pauline Tallen has reiterated the commitment of the Federal Government in providing succour to disadvantaged citizens, especially women and children, through her ministry, to cushion the effect of the economic hardship in the country.
The minister stated this while distributing food items to some orphanages and other organizations catering for people with special needs in Jos, Plateau State.
Represented by her Personal Assistant, Alhaji Muhammad Baba Bala, Dame Tallen noted that, President Muhammad Buhari has not forgotten the masses that voted him into power hence, using her ministry to provide them with palliatives, particularly, the most deserving members of the society.
She added that distribution of the palliatives would be a continues process, to ensure that vulnerable members of the society have food on their tables.
The food items were distributed to Eight Orphanages and Twenty Civil Society Organizations and they include, hundred bags of rice, 150 bags of millet, 2,000 bags of hybrid Sorghum, among other things.
