The Military High Command has called for more stakeholders engagement in identifying Criminals in their localities for lasting solutions to the various security challenges in the country.
The Coordinator Defence Media Operations, Defence Headquarters, Major General John Enenche made the call during the weekly media briefing in Abuja.
He explained that troops at various theatres had continued their operations with renewed vigor.
General Enenche said as part of the mandate by the Commander-in-Chief, the armed forces would re-strategize and re-energize to root out all criminals in troubled zones of the country this year.
He urged stakeholders to continue to work with the military by engaging some identified criminals in their areas with a view to retracing their actions or face the wrath of the armed forces whom according to him would not relent in its quest to end criminal activities.
The Coordinator pointed out that troops of Operation Delta Safe and its subsidiary operations, Nigerian Navy Ship Delta and forward operating base Escravos in the South South zone had continued to record successes against economic sabotage in the zone with the deactivation of illegal refining sites, some metal tanks and recovery of thousands of stolen petroleum products.
General Enenche also stated that troops of operation Safe Haven in the North Central arrested some suspected criminals, recovered motorcycle and tricycle used for concealing fire arms.
He added that troops of Operation Lafiya Dole and its subsidiary operations continued to eliminate several terrorists and destroyed their gun trucks and other structures.
