Worried by the increasing life threatening diseases, Nigerians have been urged to embrace healthy lifestyle protocols
This was the position of medical experts on the kapital FM Day Break Show in Abuja.
Speaking on some healthy tips a Consultant Behaviourist, Doctor James Komolafe encouraged all Nigerians to sleep well, avoid eating late at night and observe regular exercise.
“Maintaining natural protocols keeps you healthy without the need for drugs, also behavior modification and prevention is better than cure. The world is embracing a lifestyle medicine. Supplements are good, but do it with caution” He advised.
Doctor Komolafe also advocated positive social interactions and developing a positive mindset in handling issues of deadlines and life complexities.
Contributing, Doctor Abiola Oluwashina who identified good nutrition and good eating habit as vital in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, cautioned against excessive junks and Sugary foods.
“Your nutrition is key in life style medicine. 99% of chronic cases could be adjusted with life style changes… eat clean , walk out and sleep at least 6 hours daily . I cut down on junks and sugar to cut down my weight”.
Doctor Oluwashina maintained that the lifestyle choices we make, determined the health status we enjoyed.
