The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria is to investigate about seventy cases of alleged professional misconduct.
Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Doctor Tajudeen Sanusi made this known during the first sitting of the disciplinary teibunal in Abuja.
Doctor Sanusi who is also the Secretary of the panel said the action became necessary to check misconduct among practitioners and ensure sanity in the profession.
According to Doctor Sanusi, “We have many cases before the tribunal, we have over seventy cases that had been transffered or referred to the tribunal.
Doctor Sanusi also advised Nigerians to report unprofessional actz to any of the council’s offices across the country.
The Registrar pledged that the council would not relent in its efforts to protect the interest of the public and its members.
