A group of the All Progressives Congress, Legacy Awareness Campaign says the nation’s aviation sector has witnessed a revolution under the present administration.
This is contained in a statement in Abuja by the leader of the group, Mr Ahmed Ismail.
The statement explains that the transformation was more obvious in the unprecedented infrastructural investment, capacity building and economic activities recorded in the sector.
According to the statement, the Federal Government in May 2016 launched an Aviation road map with the aim of improving safety and the economy.
It notes that new terminals inherited from the past administration at Port-Hacourt, Abuja, and Kano International Airports have been completed, while that of Lagos is near completion.
According to the statement, Runaways are being constructed in all Airports across the country to meet international standards.
It explains that safety laboratory tests of Airplane recorders, commonly known as Black Box would now be carried out within the country and personnel would no longer travel abroad for training due to the establishment of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology.
