Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State says the APC has put modalities in place to ensure that the Registration and Revalidation exercise is not hijacked.
Governor Lalong gave the assuarance after Revalidating his membership of the All Progressives Congress at his Ajikamai ward in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State.
He said the exercise would rebuild and strengthen the party as well as allow the people take ownership hence the need for the exercise to be taken seriously, adding that a lot of mobilization had been done in this regard.
At his Bashar ward in Wase Local Government Area, the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris said the exercise would lay a good foundation for the Party and called for the support of the people.
The lawmaker who called on Nigerians to support Democracy as it is the best form of Government, described Plateau as an APC State and maintained that everything would be done for it to remain so.
Answering questions from journalists on the possibility of extending the exercise, the APC Chairman in the State, Latep Dabang said at the end of the two week exercise, a report would be submitted to the National body of the Party who then would take a final decision.
