Kwara state Governor Abdulraman Abdulrazak says his administration remains committed to provision of sporting infrastructure to create a conductive environment for talent scout in the State.
Governor Abdulraman stated this during the inauguration of the Football House in Ilorin.
The Governor appreciated the State’s football heroes of the past and present and assured of working with stakeholders in rebuilding football development in the State.
In his remark, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick said Kwara is the first State to have completed a befitting structure to enhance football activities.
He described the move as a national challenge to NFF and other Associations.
Mr Pinnick also appealed to the Governor to name the Kwara State stadium Complex after the super eagle hero Rashidi Yekini to immortalise him.
The newly inaugurated Football House is well equipped with modern sporting facilities, a well ventilated conference room, offices, information technology center among others.
