Kwara Senators Wade Into Gov, Minister’s Feud

Senators from Kwara say they are already intervening in the feud between Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed with a view to sustaining harmonious relations among members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state.

The lawmakers, Senators Lola Ashiru representing Kwara South, Ibrahim Oloriegbe representing Kwara Central and Sadiq Umar, Kwara North, however, declared at a joint news briefing in Abuja that Governor Abdulrazaq is the authentic leader of the party in the state.

Speaking on the crisis in the state, they clarified that money realised by the APC in the state for the 2019 elections were judiciously utilised under the leadership of the governor which led to the victory of all elected politicians at the polls.

Senator Ashiru who told newsmen that the governor is doing everything possible to provide dividends of democracy to the people called on citizens of the state to give peace a chance.

Also, Senator Oloriegbe said the state govt is focused in uplifting the standard of living of the people.

The lawmaker also explained that the revalidation of membership registration of the party in the state would commence on July 24 to enable those yet to register to do so before the party’s congress in the state.

On his part , Senator Sadiq said the struggle for O toge movement was worth it ,adding that after a revolution, it was expected that there would be some disagreement.

“What may appear a disagreement is just one of those little post revolutionary challenges” he said.
