Security of life and property has been described as the collective responsibility of all citizens.

Kogi State Security Adviser, Retired Commander Jerry Omodara, stated this while speaking to Newsmen in Lokoja.

Commander Omodara said security is all encompassing and not the sole responsibility of the government, hence the need for joint effort.

He stressed the need for relevant information from the people to assist security agencies in their duties of securing lives and property.

According to him, the relative peace prevailing in the State was due to government’s proactive measures and robust synergy among security agencies to nip crimes in the bud.

The Security Adviser warned criminal elements to stay away from the State as constant engagement is ongoing with relevant stakeholders to address all perceived security issues in the State.

He said with the resumption of judiciary workers, those arrested and in custody of security agencies are to be arainged in Court for prosecution.
