Kogi State Government has warned youths in the state to avoid being used to cause crises across the State.

The State Security Adviser, Retired Commander, Jerry Omodara gave the warning while addressing newsmen in Lokoja.

Commander Omodara said the call became necessary in view of the fact that youth organisations, Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, Non governmental Organisations, NGOs, and Student bodies have signified their non participation in any protest in Kogi State.

According to him, security agencies have also denied granting permission to protect any group nor has any applied for such.

He called on parents and guardians to caution their wards from participating in any unlawful protest.

The Security Adviser said government has put measures in place to sustain the existing peace and harmony as well as protection of lives and security of its citizens.

He restated the State Governments commitment to continue to engage groups and organisations in meaningful dialogue towards a virile Kogi State.
