Kogi Govt Inaugurates Court In Adumu, Ofu LG

A grade One Area Court has been inaugurated in Adumu Community of Ofu Local Government Area to bring justice closer to the people.

Kogi State Acting Chief Judge, Justice Richard Olorunfemi stated this while inaugurating the Court in Adumu.

Justice Olorunfemi, who said justice is synonymous to development urged the people to be accommodating to the judicial officers that would be posted to the Court.

He equally warned the people against corrupt practices as justice would be delivered by the judicial officers without fear or favour.

The Acting Chief Justice assured of continued partnership by the judiciary with Communities to bring justice and development closer to them.

Earlier, in his remarks, the Chief Registrar, Abubakar Ibrahim, said establishment of the Court was a long time desire of the Community which he said would promote justice, fairness and equity.

Also in his address, the facilitator of the Court and an indigene of the area, Justice Yunusa Musa, expressed appreciation to the Acting Chief Judge for acceding to the request of the Community for a Court.

In his good will message, the Ochabe of Adumu, Chief Yunusa Ali while appreciating the judiciary for granting a thirty-year old request for a Court in the Community, assured of the support of the people to judicial officials to be posted to the Court.
