Kogi State Government has commended youths in the State for their proactive action to halt what it described as attempt by “Imported Youths” to destabilise the state in the guise of anti – Buhari protest.
This is contained in a statement by the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo.
The statement says the youths came into Kogi State and began to paint walls and display anti-Buhari posters.
“The Kogi youths who are ardent supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari apprehended the sponsored hoodlums and handed them to law enforcement agents for possible prosecution for violating the Environmental Laws of the State and disturbing the peace of the people,” Fanwo added.
“We are placing it on record that Kogi People are loyal to Mr President because of our faith in his integrity and quality leadership.
According to the statement, the Kogi State Government warns all agents of destabilization to steer clear of the state in their bid to play divisive, destructive, politics.
“Kogi is focused on development and commitment to improving the living standard of the people” Fanwo stated
For us, President Muhammadu Buhari is more than a national leader, he represents an ideology that protects the poor and the weak, an ideology of transparency, accountability, security and stability.
These are the strings that bind us with Mr President.
It therefore urges Nigerians to continue to give their unalloyed support to President Muhammadu Buhari.
