Kogi Govt Commiserates With Family Of Late APC Divisional Women Leader

The Kogi State Government has commended the commitment exhibited by the late APC Divisional Women leader of Dekina, Mrs Mariam Egbunu to the party during her lifetime.

In a message during a Condolence visit to the deceased family in Ajakeya Abocho, Dekina LGA, Secretary to Kogi State Government, Dr. Folashade Ayoade, expressed the State Executive Council’s sympathy to the family noting that the late Divisional Women leader would be greatly missed.

The SSG who was in company of the State Auditor General, Alhaji Yakubu Okala, SSA to Governor Bello on Electronic Media, Mrs Avoyi Nwogu and other Government functionaries prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss and promised the State Government’s support to the family.

In his remark, the State Auditor General, Alhaji Yakubu Okala reiterated that the Government of Alhaji Bello would do its best to support the children and dependants of the late woman leader.

In their response, some children of the deceased appreciated the support of the State Government during her illness up till her death.

Arome Ademu and Ojonugwa Ademu sought for employment from Government so as to cater for the needs of the family.

The delegation presented a letter of Condolence and cash donation to the deceased family.

Late Mrs Mariam Egbunu died on the 14th October, 2020 during an illness.
