KOGI Commissioner Seeks Better Recognition For Civil Servants

The Kogi state Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo has stressed the need for civil servants to be celebrated while in service.

Fanwo stated this at a special valedictory held in honour of the outgoing Director, Information Services in the ministry of Information and Communication, Prince Jordan Akpata today in Lokoja, Kogi State.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Peter Stephen Ojo, the Commissioner pointed out that civil servants were hardly celebrated, after many years of service hence the need for the celebration.

He stressed that it is time the service emulates institutions such as the military, or Judiciary that accords symbolic recognitions to their retiring officers.

In their tributes, Directors and other heads of agencies in the ministry, extolled the virtues of humility, truthfulness and diligence of the retiree which stood him out while in service.
