Kogi Assembly Passes Economic Council Law

The Kogi State Economic Council law has been passed by the state house of assembly.

The law which is geared towards boosting economic activities in the state was considered clause by clause at plenary on the floor of the house.

The law which is to ensure rapid economic development of the state provides that members would be individuals with vast knowledge in economics and financial management.

Also passed into law were the kogi State Public Audit bill and the Kogi State Local Government audit bill.

The bills are to strengthen the state and local government relations with global financial institutions by ensuring globally accepted norms in auditing.
