Kano Police Command Assures Security of Foreigners

The Kano State Police Commissioner, Sama’ila Shuaibu Dikko has Reaffirmed the commitment of the Command in providing adequate security to all Citizens and foreigners residing in the state.

Sama’ila Shuaibu Dikko stated this while briefing Journalists after an emergency meeting with heads of security agencies in Kano .

He said the Command was working tirelessly in ensuring synergy with other security agencies in Kano geared towards ensuring maximum security of lives and property.

The Commissioner maitained that they had mapped out security strategies in ensuring security of expatrates conducting legitimate business in the state.

He noted that Kano being the commercial Hub of Northern Nigeria has over five thousand expatrates who reside in the state for commercial and other related matters.

The Commissioner, stated that security arrangements have been made in ensuring that fulani herders from other parts of the country only gain access to the state after presenting clearance letters from security agencies of their states aimed at addressing Farmers/Herders conflicts in the state.

“This morning I had meeting with the Fulani leaders from Kaduna,Katsina and kaduna, we requested them to give all the information of any fulani herders that are trying to come in without clearance from the Authorities”

The commissioner maitained that soon the command would start arresting blacksmiths who produced and sell knives and weapons to thugs for aiding Thuggery.

The Commissioner added that the Command had concluded arrangements of expanding the Anti Daba unit to curtail Thuggery in the State.
