The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, says, the ongoing nationwide strike will not be suspended until its demand for financial autonomy of the judiciary is met.
National Treasurer of JUSUN, Jimoh Musa, stated this when he led a delegation to a joint press conference with the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, in Abuja.
Musa maintained that the strike would continue while negotiations were ongoing until their demands were met.
The 1st Vice President, John Aikpokpo-Martins, who represented the NBA president, Olumide Akpata, explained that they had resolved to meet with stakeholders, particularly State Governors, to find possible solutions.
The nationwide strike embarked upon by Judiciary workers since Tuesday to press home their demand for financial autonomy for the judiciary, shut down all courts across the country, for the third day.
