Judiciary In Kogi Holds Valedictory For Rtd Justice Yunusa Musa

A Valedictory Court Session has been held in Lokoja, in honour of Retired Justice Yunusa Musa with a charge to judicial officers to dispense justice without fear or favour.

Kogi State Acting Chief Judge, Justice Richard Olorunfemi who gave the charge said the Bench should be a place of refuge and succour to the common man.

Justice Olorunfemi described Justice Musa as a jurist per excellence who dispensed cases brought before him without delay.

He prayed God to grant him sound health and peace of mind in retirement.

Speaking at the occasion, the representative of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Jibrin Okutepa called on the bench to be courageous in judgement and free itself from undue interferance from certain quarters.

In a message to the occasion, Governor Yahaya Bello described Justice Yunusa Musa as an eminent jurist whose contributions would be greatly missed.

Represented by his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, the Governor assured of continued partnership between the Executive and the Judiciary in the State.

In a remark, Retired Justice Yunusa Musa expressed appreciation to God, the State Government and all who worked with him during his years in service.
