The Inter-Ministerial Committee on the Disposal of Assets Forfieted to the Federal Government has expressed commitment to complete its assignment within the six months time frame.
The Attorney General of he Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami made this known at a media briefing in Abuja.
The Minister, explained that since inauguration, the committee had developed a work plan in line with the relevant laws and regulations, to help in the discharge of its mandate within the set time limit.
Represented by the Solicitor-General of the Federation, who is also the Chairman, Inter-Ministerial Committee on the Disposal of Assets Forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria, Mr Dayo Akpata, the Minister maintainted that the committee would ensure that assets are neither misappropriated nor mismanaged.
Mallam Abubakar Malami further stressed that the committee represents the interests of all stakeholders to guarantee effieciency and adherence to due process.
