The Federal Government has been urged to partner private security agencies to curb the menace of insecurity through modern technologies.
A Security Expert, Mr. Kehinde Braimoh made the call while speaking with news men in Abuja.
He explained that Security should be a collective collaboration with the private sector and not government’s business alone.
Braimoh who commended the Federal Government for efforts being put in place to curb insecurity stressed that a lot still needed to be done to deliver on the present administration’s promises to Nigerians
He advocated for synergy between government and private security outfits to check insecurity across the country.
“Security challenges and threats are conscious vices that looms in today’s post –digital age and tackling them should be highly prioritized.”
He stated that the role of technology in the transformation of the security industry in Nigeria should not be underestimated.
Braimoh urged the government to come up with a policy driven framework to combat insecurity.
“There is the need for all sectors of the economy to contribute their quota to the development of national infrastructure” he added.
Braimoh explained that Resources put together would provide the frame work to address the spate of security in Nigeria.
He appealed to government at all levels to have data of citizens by knowing those who are truly Nigerians to be able to fish out criminals and kidnappers in the society.
