The Independent National Electoral Commission says it will ease the voter registration process for credible, free and fair Elections in the country .
The Chairman of the Commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu stated this during a workshop on the review of the 2017/2018 Nationwide continuous voter registration, held in Kano.
The Chairman who was represented by his chief Technical adviser , Professor Bolade Eyinla said the aim of the review was to acquaint officials of the commission with the methodology for conduct of the registration exercise.
“The meeting was targeted at examining the challenges encountered in the field by registration officers, Evaluate the challenges and the lessons learnt in order to provide workable solutions to mitigate the challenges”
In a remark, the resident Electoral Commissioner of the commission in Kano, Professor Riskuwa Arabu Shehu said the meeting was very timely, aimed at Achieving set objectives.
He encouraged the participants to explore the opportunity by brainstorming on modalities of addressing the challenges encountered during the past registration exercise.
Professor Riskuwa Arabu Shehu appealed to Nigerians to.come out enmass and register when the registration commences next month.
The meeting was attended by officials of the commission across the country.
