INEC Moves To Ensure Easy Access To Nigs During Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says it has moved Seven Hundred and Forty Nine Polling Units to appropriate public facilities to guarantee easy access for all voters in the country.

INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu stated this is Abuja during a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners of the Thirty-six states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Professor Yakubu said the country now has One Hundred and Seventy Six Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Six Polling Units after converting some voting points.

Professor Mahmood Yakubu explained that with effect from this year’s Governorship Election in Anambra State, the Commission would no longer use voting points during elections.

The INEC Boss expressed gratitude to political parties, the media, development partners and other stakeholders for the success of the exercise.
