The Former Chairman, Governing Board of the Niger-Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has called for Implementation of the Act establishing the Commission and a road map to check the challenges rocking it.
The Leader of the 7th Senate who made this known while interacting with KFM in Abuja, said lack of a long term road map and poor governance had made the system inefficient.
Senator Ndoma who said it was imperative for the Commission to follow the Act establishing it stressed the need to embark on projects that would integrate the region, tap the potential in youths and also develop agriculture.
The 7th Senate Leader stressed the need for synergy amongst stakeholders and establishment of the NDDC bank for sustainability.
He also recommended a comprehensive audit and streamlining of processes of the Commission for efficiency and minimize corruption.
