Gwagwalada Area Council promises to construct Phase 4, Compensation Layout Road

Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT is to include the 1.2 km road leading to Phase 4, Compensation Layout, Old Kutunku, in its budget this year.
The Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha made this known when residents of phase 4 community paid him a visit in his office in Gwagwalada Abuja.
The Chairman who stated that road constructions currently going on in Gwagwalada were the initiatives of his administration explained that work on the road from the market to the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria junction would soon commence.
He commended the Phase 4 community for embarking on development projects and called on other communities in Gwagwalada to emulate the initiative.
On the registration of Associations by the Area Council, the Chairman stated that if two Associations bear the same name the one that registers first would be given priority.
Earlier, the Chairman of Resident Landlords of Phase 4, Compensation Layout, Professor Owojecho Omoha said the community always suffer hardship during the rainy season as roads leading to the community have become impassable.
Professor Omoha said the community was currently taxing members to make the roads passable and called on Gwagwalada Area Council to construct the road leading to the major road.
The community leader also told the Chairman that an Association calling itself Residents of Old Kutunku currently uses the name of the Association of Residents at the Compensation Layout to extort money from residents and called on the Area Council to correct the anomaly.
