Guests On KFM Current Affairs Prog Want Govt To Engage Youths Productively

The Federal Government has been called upon to put in place structures that will engage youths productively and check youth restiveness in the Country.

Guests on Perspective a Kapital FM Current Affairs Programme made the call while discussing on the topic “Promoting Entrepreneurial Skills as a panacea in curbing youth restiveness in the country”.

One of the guests, the Special Assistant on youths to the National Chairman of the Young Progressive Party, YPP, Prince Oforibuike Okoli commended the Federal Government for the special intervention fund to assist youths said more programs needed to be put in place to carry more youths along.

According to Prince Okoli, the Federal and State Governments should provide enabling environment for entrepreneurial programmes to address the high number of unemployed youths in the Country.

Also speaking on the programme, the founder of a Non-Governmental Organisation “Youths Reawakened for Sustainable Change” Prince Kevin Fynface called for more participation of youths in politics for inclusive government.

Prince Fynface said if youths were given more opportunities to participate in governance they would initiate ideas that would enhance rapid economic growth for the Country.

He explained that lack of proper planning by the Government is one of the major problems that encourage youth unrest in the Country.

He appealed to Government to do a proper research and create a conducive environment for youths to showcase their potential.

Prince Fynface urged the Nigerian youths to register, vote and belong to a political party to effect the change they crave for.

He therefore advised the Nigerian youth to collaborate with government at all levels for national development.
