A member of the Geneva Institute of Leadership and Public Policy, Rev Polycarp Gbaja says patriotism is a panacea for unity and national development.
Rev Gbaja stated this while featuring on “Perspectives” a Kapital FM Current Affairs programme in Abuja.
He said for the country to achieve national development there is need for Nigerians at all levels to contribute their quota towards nation building.
He admonished Nigerians to be patriotic always irrespective of religion, tribe or political affiliations.
Also speaking on the program with the topic patriotism as a tool in Nation-building, a political scientist, Dr Abdulrahman Hamisu urged Nigerians to imbibe the Virtue of patriotism for the development of the country.
Dr Hamisu described tolerance as one of the factors that would promote patriotism in the country.
He advised Nigerians to shun all forms of violence and embrace peace for a better tomorrow.
A caller on the programme Mr Emmanuel Iyang from maitama Abuja, was of the opinion that leaders at all levels should toe the path as exemplified by the nation’s founding fathers for development of the country.
