Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has expressed his readiness to work closely with the Nigeria Union of journalists towards ensuring accountability, transparency and good governance to citizens of the State.
The Governor gave this indication while presenting keys of an eight seater vehicle he donated to the NUJ zone D office in Lafia.
Governor sule underscored the importance of journalists in entrenching good governance, noting that they play a major role in promoting transparency and peaceful coexistence in the society.
Receiving the keys of the vehicle, NUJ vice president, Zone D which comprises Plateau , Benue ,Nasarawa, Kogi, Niger, Kwara state and the FCT, chief Wilson Bako commended the Governor for embarking on people oriented programmes to uplift the standard of living of citizens of the State.
Highlights of the event were presentation of a plaque and decoration of the Governor as the grand patron of NUJ North Central Zone.
