Taraba State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku has expressed shock and sympathy with the people of Mbamnga Chiefdom over the death of the paramount ruler, Ambassador Emmanuel Njiwah.
A statement signed by the Speacial Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Bala Dan Abu describes the traditional ruler’s death as a huge loss to Taraba State and Nigeria as a whole.
It states that as a diplomat, the Late Njiwah served his Country with utmost sense of duty and patriotism.
The statement explains that the bridge of unity and cooperation built by Late Njiwah between Nigeria and the Republic of Cameroon where he served as Nigeria’s ambassador, has been cordial till today.
According to the statement, Governor Ishaku describes Late Njiwah as an outstanding diplomat, dependable community leader and patriot.
It says Njiwah’s death less than three years into his reign as the paramount ruler of Mbamnga Chiefdom has robbed the people of the community and Taraba State in general of his mature leadership, community service and exemplary life of charity.
The statement prays God to grant his soul eternal rest.
