Gov Ishaku Mourns Former Min Of State For Defence

Taraba State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku has expressed shock over the death of a former minister of State for Defence and one time minister of Petroleum, Umaru Muhammad Baba (OFR), Magajin Garin Muri

A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu
describes the late Alhaji Umaru as an examplary public servant with a huge public and private sector experience.

It also explains that the late Alhaji Umaru was a boardroom guru and an inspiration to many of today’s leading public servants.

According to the statement Gov Ishaku acknowledges, in particular, Alhaji Umaru’s contributions to the development of Taraba State and the entire North East geo-political Zone through his numerous public service appointments in the State Government and in the zone.

He said the present and future generation of public servants would continue to be guided by the indelible marks of patriotic service left behind by Alhaji Umaru.

He prayed God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.

The Governor also prayed for the family of late Umaru Muhammad Baba for the fortitude to bear the great loss.
