Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has described providing modern infrastructure and condusive environment for Fulani herdsmen as a way of curtailing herders – farmers conflicts in the country.
Alhaji Ganduje stated this when he received the Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero who paid him a Salllah Homage at the Government House, Kano.
He said building peace and resolving conflicts between different ethnic groups in the Nation was key to societal development.
Alhaji Ganduje explained that the current security challenges that bedevilled development in many parts of the country erupted because of negligence of some important aspects of people’s welfare and development.
He noted that to curtail current security challenges and conflicts between fulani herders and farmers there was need to provide all necessary infrastructure and education to both parties, adding that traditional institutions have a vital role to play in ensuring peace and stability.
In a remark the emir of kano Alhaji Aminu Bayero congratulated the Government and people of Kano state for witnessing the Eidil-Fitr celebrations .
He appealed to citizens of the state to redouble efforts in praying for countinues peace and Harmony in Kano state and the Nation.
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero Who is the Chairman of the traditional council of Kano state Applauded the efforts of the Kano state Government in providing social amenities to the public and uplifting the standard of education, Health and Agriculture.
He appealed to the public to accord maximum support and cooperation to Government aimed at Achieving the set objectives.
