A bill seeking to repeal and enact the Former Governors Special Grant Law twenty nineteen has been forwarded to the Kogi State House of Assembly.

The Speaker,Prince Matthew Kolawole who read the letter from the Governor said due to the economic situation, government can no longer sustain the implementation of the law.
The Speaker had earlier welcomed members after the suspension of the industrial action embarked upon by the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigerian (PASAN).
Prince Kolawole commended members for their support which according to him engendered peaceful and robust Legislative business.
He urged them to redouble efforts to regain lost grounds as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic by ensuring that pending bills were attended to.
