Kogi State Government has restated its commitment to the protection of lives and property in the State.
Governor Yahaya Bello stated this in a message to participants of the Executive Management Course Fourteen of the National Institute for Security Studies on a visit to
Represented by his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, Governor Bello said infrastructural development is anchored on security of lives and property which are core mandates of his administration.
He assured the participants of Government’s support in the course of understudying the State to achieve set objectives.
In his opening remark, the State Security Adviser, rtd Commander Jerry Omodara said the participants as part of their course would be taken round the State for on the spot assessment of Government projects.
According to him, stakeholders in the security apparatus of the State were in constant review of strategies to combat crimes in the State.
In his speech, the Deputy Commandant and Director of Studies, National Institute for Security Studies, Abuja, Egbeji Didacus said the purpose of the visit was to understudy the governance structure of the State, developmental strides achieved and also interact with the people for submission at the end of the programme.
Egbeji said participants were drawn from the Military, Para-Military, Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government.
