Communities benefitting from Government projects in Kogi State have been advised to protect the facilities from vandals.
Governor Yahaya Bello gave the advise in a message at the inauguration of some projects in Dekina and Olamaboro Local Government Areas of the State.
Represented by his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, Governor Bello said the projects were executed by the present administration to make meaningful impact on rural dwellers across the State.
At Agbeji Ojimele in Dekina local Government, where a Five hundred KVA transformer was inaugurated, the Governor urged the youths to protect it from vandals, assuring them of more facilities to enhance the livelihood of the people.
At Olamaboro Local Government Area, projects inaugurated includes motorized boreholes and town halls in Adeh, Efachipu-Iman, Emegaba-Ogugu and Anyigba-Ogugu.
Governor Bello called on well meaning individuals and Non Governmental Organizations to partner with Government in the quest to make life meaningful for people of the State.
In a remark, the General Manager, Community and Social Development Agency, CSDA, Mallam Momoh Dauda said some of the projects were executed by the communities in partnership with the Agency towards fulfilling the core mandate of the APC led administration in the State.
Other places where projects were inaugurated include Emonyoku, Emapke-Iygo-Ogugu, and Odidoko-Ogugu.
