FRSC Solicits More Synergy Among Security Agencies To Curb Insecurity

The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC has called for more synergy among Security and Para military Agencies in tackling security challenges in the country.

Corps Marshal of FRSC, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi who made the call in Abuja during the opening of the 6th Edition of the FRSC Strategic workshop on Intelligence Sharing said the event would provide the needed platform for Agencies to reflect on the National Security Policy and improve on the existing implementation strategies

While enumerating some of the benefits of FRSC Database, the Corps Marshal said the platform had assisted in unraveling the identities of fraudsters and enabled the Police and other Security Agencies to recover over Five Hundred stolen Vehicles in the country.

Dr Oyeyemi however assured Nigerians that the workshop would build the capacity of participants on ways to access specific information for enhanced security network.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation Mr Boss Mustapha who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs, Mr Andrew Adejo appealed to Nigerians to desist from taking laws into their hands as the Security Agencies were ever ready to deliver on their mandates

Mr Mustapha stressed that the Present Administration would continue to mobilise resources to enhance the performance of Security Agencies.

Representative of the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Habila Vin-Tenaba urged the organizers to ensure that resolutions of the workshop gets to all security agencies for effective implementation.
