FRSC Moves To Check Reckless Driving, Indiscriminate Parking In FCT

The Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC is to commence a Training for Petrol Tankers and Articulated Drivers to check reckless driving and indiscriminate parking along Major routes in the Federal Capital Territory.

The
FCT Sector Commander of FRSC, Mr Samuel Ochi Who stated this while speaking with news men in Abuja said the training which would be conducted in major languages was also part of measures to bring sanity on FCT Roads.

Mr Ochi who expressed concern over the attitude of some drivers parking indiscriminately along Giri- Gwagwalada -Kwali- Abaji express way despite several meetings maitaned that the Commission would continue to engage leadership of transport unions to address the menace.

The FCT Sector Commander also said Out posts have been established at Apo and Mararaba Areas to enhance traffic control while mobile courts would be sitting to prosecute offenders

He cautioned road users against one way driving, overloading, over speeding and to always ensure full compliance with Covid 19 guidelines .

Mr Samuel Ochi also emphasized the need for FCT residents to make use of pedestrian bridges to check incessant accidents in the territory.
