FRSC Moves To Strengthen Security With Nat’l Vehicle Identification Scheme

The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC has called on Desk officers of the National Vehicle Identification Scheme, NVIS to interface with State and Local Governments to regularly upload Vehicle Information for enhanced National Security.

The Corps Marshal of FRSC, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi made the call in Abuja at the Opening of a two day Capacity Building Workshop for NVIS officers with the theme: Effective National Vehicle Identification Scheme Data Capture and Vehicle Security.

Dr Oyeyemi explained that apart from improving National Security, Data generated would be used as a support for investigation in Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as Non Governmental Institutions.

The FRSC Corps Marshal however appealed to the officers to brace up to their responsibilities in enhancing Vehicle Tracking and checking other Security threats to National Security.

Dr Oyeyemi pledged the Commission’s continuous support to the desk officers for their assignments to yeild positive results.
