The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, says adequate personnel and logistics have been mobilized across the Country to ensure effective traffic adminstration during the Yuletide
Corps Marshall of FRSC, Doctor Boboye Oyeyemi who stated this at the commencement of this year’s ember months campaign organised by the FCT Sector Command also appealed to Commercial drivers to stop night journey.
While calling on passengers to insist on filling the manifest before embarking on any journey, the Corps Marshal who was represented by the Deputy Corps Commandant ,Caleb Lukas stressed the need for motorists to give maximum support to the Commission’s efforts at reducing road accidents
The FCT Sector Commander, Mr Gora Wobin said the Commission would embark on aggressive campign and advocacy to motor parks, Religious centers and other public places on the need for motorists to abide by traffic rules and Covid-19 protocols.
Mr Wobin appealed to passengers to avoid boarding roadside vehicles and consider their safety while embarking on any journey
A traditional ruler, the Sapeyi of Garki, Alhaji Usman Kupi, Representative of the Nigeria Police, the Military and Paramilitary, FCT Directorate of Traffic Services and other stakeholders in the transport sector pledged their support towards a hitch free Yuletide in the six Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory
