FRSC Deploys 35,000 Personnel In A 7 Day Sallah Operation

The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC has deployed Thirty Five Thousand Regular and Special Marshals across the country for effective traffic management during the Eid-El-Fitr Celebration.

FRSC Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem made this known while speaking with newsmen in Abuja.

He said all Commanding officers have been directed to deploy the needed logistics to about Fifty Two identified critical corridors in the 7 day operation.

He urged motorists particularly commercial drivers to abide by traffic rules and regulations as Two Hundred and One Mobile Courts would be in session during the celebration to prosecute traffic offenders.

According to him, all Zebra Points will also be in Twenty Four hours daily operation to remove any obstruction and emergency.

The FRSC Spokesman however appealed to Security Agencies and Top Government Officials to avoid indiscriminate use of Siren, lane indiscipline and respect the rights of other road users.

Mr Bisi Kazeem emphasized the need for motorists to support efforts at reducing road accidents and ensure full compliance with Covid 19 protocols.
