FRSC Decries High No Of Speed Related Accidents @ Christmas

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC Dr Boboye Oyeyemi has expressed concern over the increasing cases of speed related road accidents during the Christmas Celebration

Dr Oyeyemi who made this known in Abuja directed commanding officers to step up enforcement of the law on the use of speed limit device.

While expressing satisfaction with the conduct of most drivers and the performance of FRSC personnel in containing the rate of accidents within the Christmas celebration, Dr Oyeyemi said a high number of road accidents undermined efforts to ensure safer road environment.

He stressed the need for the motoring public to compliment Government’s huge investment on road rehabilitations and construction for economic development.

The FRSC Ciorps Marshal however appealed to motorists to be cautious, abide by traffic rules and respect the rights of other road users on the high ways.

He reiterated the Commission’s resolve in ensuring safety of lives and property on the highways.
