The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC has called on officers to ensure accurate and up to date information of vehicles and owners in the national data base to check crimes for national security.
Corps marshal of FRSC, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi made the call in Abuja at the opening of a One day capacity training for the national vehicle identification scheme officers.
Dr Oyeyemi who identified the critical role of the officers in the recovery of stolen vehicles urged them to promote integrity, transparency and be professional in discharging their duties.
The FRSC Corps Marshal however advised officers to be security conscious as the management was resolute in providing support for officers that encounter any challenges.
Dr Oyeyemi reiterated the commitment of the commission in working with other security agencies for the safety of officers on assignment.
