Former FCT Treasury Director Ismaila emerges Sadaukin Ribadu .

Former FCT Treasury Director, Alhaji Isiyaku Ismaila has been appointed as Sadaukin Ribadu of Yola.

Sadauki is an Hausa word, which simply implies a strong person or commander.

Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led the State’s delegates to celebrate the former FCT DOT in a carnival-like event in Fufore district of Yola at the turbaning ceremony of their Illustrious son who had returned to them after 35 years of meritorious national service as Director of FCT Treasury.

The event which was characterised with jubilation and attracted a mammoth crowd.

Peforming the turbaning ceremony at his palace, Ardo Ribadu, Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu extolled the leadership qualities of the celebrant and commitment to community development.

According to Ardo Ribadu, such qualities propelled the smooth and speedy approval for Sadauki’s appointment and turbaning.

Charging the Sadauki to work cordially with other traditional title holders, the Ardo tasked the people to support the new Sadauki to work towards entrenching peace and development in the State as a whole.

In his acceptance speech, Isiyaku Ismaila thanked Allah for making the day possible and stated that he accepted the title because of “the deep sense of affection and hospitality of the hardworking people who have found him worthy of honour”.

He Pledged to strengthen the the age-long traditional institution, and work with all stakeholders, including the youths, women and children.

He also said he would collaborate with district heads and other appointed officers, to interface with people outside the State to see that the district attracts good things.

He however appealed that the traditional institution be given a greater role in the constitution and royal fathers enabled to support development and security, and ultimately bring out the best for representation at the national level.

He thanked the entire people of Adamawa State, particularly the people of Ribadu district for the massive support and apologised for the inconveniences event has caused them.

The Sadaukin Ribadu also thanked the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello and FCT Administration staff who attended his coronation, pointing out that his turbaning was a sign that the FCT Administration was also preparing its staff for community development.

He used the medium to advise the FCTA staff not to be weakened by poor salary or packages.

Born in Numan 61 years ago, Alhaji Isiyaku Ismaila has garnered both private and public experience. He worked in the banking sector for 22 years before switching to the public service.

Alhaji Isiyaku Ismaila is a fellow of many professional bodies, including Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, Institute of Treasury Management, Institute of Fraud Examiners and African Business School.
