FG Urged To Engage Youths In Agriculture To Curb Youth Restiveness

A financial expert, Mr. Isa Aliyushata says engaging youths in agricultural activities will go a long way in addressing the high rate of unemployment and youth restiveness in the Country.

He stated this while featuring on a Kapital FM Current Affairs Program, “Politics Today” while speaking on the benefits of recruiting seven hundred and seventy four thousand Nigerians under the Special Public Works Programme , SPW by the Federal Government.

Mr Aliyushata explained that engaging youths in agriculture and technology driven programs would enhance sustainable economic growth.

He noted that if government at all levels could engage a substantial number of youths into various intervention programs it would address youth restiveness and reduce social insecurity in the Country.

Another guest on the programme, an Economist Mallam Yusha’u Aliyu said Government at all levels should initiate intervention programmes to check unemployment in the Country.

The Economist appealed to the National Assembly to support the programme as it would help in reducing unemployment in the Country.

He advised the Federal Government to ensure that the committee members are allowed to do their job diligently to improve the livelihood of youths particularly at the grassroots.

Mallam Aliyu therefore appealed to the Federal Government to ensure that youths employed into the program are engaged in skillful Ventures.
