A group under the auspices of the All Progressives Congress, Legacy Awareness Campaign Forum says the present administration is working closely with other organs of government towards strengthening security agencies to secure lives and property of Nigerians.

This is contained in a statement in Abuja by the leader of the group, Mr Ismail Ahmed.

According to the statement, signing of the new Police Act by the present administration was to make community policing more effective by carrying along community leaders.

The statement explains that apart from fighting insecurity, numerous programmes and policies are being put in place to alleviate poverty and support small businesses to ease investment and fast track development in the country.
