The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, AGF, Abubakar Malami says, the Delta State Government’s request to be given part of the recently recovered £4.2m James Ibori family loot will not be considered.

Malami stated this while featuring on a Television show to discuss the disbursement of the recovered loot.

The AGF explained that Delta State would not be considered because recovery was a function of mutual agreement between two nations.

Malami further explained that because an agreement had been signed it was difficult to bring in new considerations, but would consider the request in further recovery of the Ibori loot.

On the UK having the upper decision making as regards the monies, the AGF stressed that if Nigerian assets had not been looted to the UK, they would not have a say.

He also stressed that as far as the present administration was concerned, the process of recovery of Looted Funds was transparent.
