More developmental projects are being attracted to the Federal polytechnic Bida, Niger State to make it the cynosure of all eyes.
To this end, the management is collaborating with the private sector and government funding agencies like TETFUND to boost infrastructure in the institution.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria Power FM, the Rector, Dr Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi said, before the end of his term in office, the management would provide additional structures in the Polytechnic.
He explained that currently some offices and lecture structures going on would soon be completed to make teaching and learning conducive.
Dr Abdul Dzukogi pointed out that focus would be shifted to the provision of more hostel facilities to enable the institution accommodate most of its students on campus.
According to him, the recent ranking of the Federal Polytechnic Bida by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) as the 5th best polytechnic in the country from the previous 12th position, was due to recent developments and reforms put in place by his administration.
Dr Abdul Dzukogi pointed out that the aspiration of the management is to ensure the polytechnic rank best in the country.
The Rector added that more would be done to initiated novel policies and programmes, including the introduction of degree programmes in affiliation with reputable universities, introduction of new academic programmes, and aggressive expansion of teaching and learning infrastructure.
