The Federal Capital Territory Administration has expressed its readiness to support speedy completion of infrastructural needs of the ongoing mass housing unit in Wasa area of Abuja.
Federal Capital Territory Minister, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello stated this during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, Staff Cooperative Housing Project.
Apart from FCTA Cooperative staff housing, Malam Bello also reiterated the Administration’s resolve to also support other cooperatives in the FCT desirous to meet their staff housing needs.
His words: because with the total staff strength of over 27 thousand in the FCT you will agree with me that so many of our compatriots will desire to have their own houses… the housing deficit in the country will be bridged”
Earlier, the President of the cooperative, Mohammed Hamisu appealed to the FCT Administration to fully provide infrastructures at the site.
A total of 406 flats, in the categories of one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom terraces with pent floor, are to be constructed on the 4.2 hectares of Land.
