FCTA Kicks-Off Fumigation Of Public Schools .

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has embarked on fumigation of all public schools in the territory, ahead of school resumption slated for 12th of October.

The FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, Performed the symbolic exercise at the Government Junior Secondary School, Garki Abuja.

She explained that the exercise was aimed at safeguarding pupils, students and staff of public schools against COVID-19.  

The Minister, therefore encouraged operators of Private Schools in the territory to fumigate their premises before resumption.

Dr Ramatu also stressed the need for parents to educate their children and wards on safety measures while in school.  

Her words: ” So we are embarking on the fumigation of our schools the Honourable Minister is also doing the same at JSS Jabi so from today, all public schools in the Federal Capital Territory would be simultaneously fumigated.”

On her part, the principal of  Government Junior Secondary School, Garki, Mrs. Fatima Mohammed said the school management was adequately prepared to receive the students.
