FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello and management staff of the administration have taken their second doses of COVID 19 Vaccine.
Taking the Jab, in Abuja,the FCT Minister called on all residents to make themselves available for the vaccination to safeguard them from the virus.
Malam Bello who took his first dose on the 11th of March, expressed delight that the FCT Administration since the commencement of the vaccination programme against COVID19, was able to finish almost 98% of the doses allocated to the FCT.
According to the FCT Minister, since the vaccination began, incidences of positive cases reduced drastically.
He however encouraged residents to adher to all safety measures against the virus.
“But the fact that we have taken the vaccine,
and a lot of our citizens have been vaccinated doesn’t mean that we should loose our guard. Let’s continue to work very hard and pray to God almighty to continue to protect the FCT from COVID19.”
The FCT Minister further pointed out that two oxygen plants have been installed in the FCT as a way of strengthening the health sector against unforseen circumstances.
He therefore used the medium to commend FCT Health Secretariat workers and urged them to maintain all the facility that have been procured for the purpose of the pandemic.
Some of the management staff that received the second jab of the Vaccine include the FCTA Permanent Secretary, Mr Olusade Adesola, Chief of Staff, Alhaji Bashir Mai Borno and Acting Secretary, FCT HHSS, Dr Mohammed Kawu.
