The Federal Capital Territory Administration says it is committed to ensuring that rural communities are developed in line with the Presidential Deliverables.
FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, gave this assurance at the official inauguration of some projects executed by AMAC in the territory.
She explained that with the current administration’s philosophy of continuity, the FCT Administration had remained focused in completing every project.
“As we proceed on the onerous task of developing the FCT and meeting the yearnings of its growing population, I wish to reiterate the commitment that we shall continue to do our best in the FCT Administration to break new frontiers in pursuit of excellence. Governance is centred on service delivery and our mandate demands no less”.
Dr Aliyu who also used the medium to call on the benefiting communities to ensure that the projects were properly maintained,commended the leadership of Abuja Municipal Area Council for taking the lead in infrastructural provisions to rural communities; and urged other area councils to follow suit.
Earlier in his remarks, the executive chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, Abdullahi Adamu Candido, promised to continue to deliver people oriented projects.
The projects inaugurated by the minister include a newly constructed office block, the Jiwa Community Town Hall, Primary Health Care Centre at AMAC Housing Estate in Sabon Lugbe, Block of classrooms at Zhidna, amongst others.
AMAC is also expected to complete other projects like the Karshi Community Plaza and the Karshi Community Radio in no distant time.
